Aging and DisabilitiesResourceCenters (ADRCs)
ADRCs are service centers that provide a place for the public to get accurate, unbiased information on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability, including Managed Long-Term Care, SDS and IRIS.  The ADRCs provide a wealth of information for anyone with questions, as well as options counseling for those who are eligible public benefits and services.

Center for Self-Determination
The Center for Self-Determination remains one of the oldest and best sites on understanding self-determination and self-directed services. Check out their articles, guide books and newsletters … and stay tuned for the results of their current collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in developing a guide book on the implementation of self-determination.

inControl
This web site from across the Atlantic is well worth your time. It is chock full of ideas on self-directed support and is particularly relevant since the United Kingdom is reforming its entire long-term care system based upon the foundation of self-directed support.

IRIS (Self-Directed Supports Waiver)
This section of the Wisconsin Department of Human Services web site provides information specifically about IRIS. Additional information can be found at the IRIS Individual Consultant Agency web site, http://dhs.wisconsin.gov/bdds/IRIS/index.htm

Managed Long-Term Care
The Wisconsin Department of Human Services maintains this site as a primary source of current information on Family Care and other managed long-term care options. The “What’s New” section is particularly useful and worth reviewing weekly. An excellent description of Managed Long-Term Care can be found at  http://dhs.wisconsin.gov/ltcare/BeingAFullPartner.htm

Self-Directed Supports (SDS) Resource eLibrary
Housed at Community Outreach Wisconsin of the Waisman Center, this eLibrary is supported by Pathways to Independence and has a wealth of information. We highly recommend visiting this great site. If it were not in existence, we would have to create it!

The Arc Wisconsin Disability Association
Jim Hoegemeier has put together a fine web site at The Arc Wisconsin, that includes an emphasis on the importance of SDS within Wisconsin’s evolving long-term care system.

The Riot!
The Riot! is a free e-newsletter for self-advocates. It has a strong emphasis on self-determination. It is also great to read!

Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (WBPDD)
WBPDD has, in our humble and admittedly biased opinion, played the major role in the reinvigoration of Self-Determination and SSD within Wisconsin

Wisconsin Independent Living Council (WILC) and ILCs
WILC and the regional Independent Living Centers that you can locate on this web site have been and continue to be active supporters of Self-Directed Supports. They can provide information on what is happening with Family Care and SDS within each county they work with, and are an important source of support on SDS to people with disabilities and their families.
